Thank You From Make-A-Wish Nebraska

Dear Car Donation Foundation,
Thank you for your gift of $5,265.00 received on December 30, 2019 as a discretionary year-end donation from the CDF Board to help us grant wishes for children in Nebraska with critical illnesses. A wish is a carefully planned journey, designed to complement a child’s medical treatment. Wishes provide hope when it’s needed most, and research shows wishes have positive effects on kids’ overall well-being. Without donors like you, Make-A-Wish® Nebraska would not be able to provide these experiences, enriching the lives of the child and the entire family.
Recently, 8-year-old-Aliyah got to experience the trip of a lifetime! Aliyah was born with a nervous system disorder and has many challenges in her daily life. But she is a typical little girl whose favorite color is purple, her favorite foods are pepperoni pizza and M & M’s, and she really loves to be outside. Aliyah chose to go to Walt Disney World® as her wish because she especially wanted to meet all the Disney Characters.
Aliyah’s journey began with a limo ride to the airport for her whole family. Upon their arrival in Florida, they were met by Make-A-Wish volunteers and transported to Give Kids the World Village®, a special resort just for wish kids and their families, Along with all the festivities at the village (playgrounds, swimming pools, movies, games and ice cream served 24-7, over the next several day’s Aliyah and her family explored The Magic Kingdom and Sea World. Aliyah was thrilled to meet Mickey & Minnie Mouse, who sang happy birthday to her as she turned 8 during the trip! Her mom said she also really enjoyed Sea World; she got to touch and take pictures with a dolphin and watch the whale show.
Aliya’s family said the whole experience was fantastic. They took a lot of pictures and really enjoyed being together and not worrying for a week! Your support makes wishes like Aliyah’s possible.
Thank you for helping us transform lives- one wish at a time!
Sincerely,
