Thank You From Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia
November 21, 2017
Dear Mr. Dorshow:
On behalf of Make-A-Wish, I want to thank you for forwarding additional proceeds from the Wheels for Wishes Campaign. Today, we received $13,654.80 (check #6544), for the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter. As required by the Internal Revenue Service, we confirm that you received no goods or services in exchange for your contribution.
We are very grateful for your generosity as we continue to reach children living with critical illnesses and offer them a chance to have their fondest wish come true. One of these children is six-year-old Elizabeth who is a big fan of the Disney princesses. She asked if she could meet these princesses in Disney World, and of course we were happy to fulfill her magical wish.
Elizabeth and her family traveled to sunny Florida with an itinerary packed full of fun. While there, she and her family stayed at Give Kids the World Village, a beautiful resort designed especially for sick kids. Located just outside the Disney complex, the spacious villas are surrounded by a fishing pond, play areas, a wheelchair accessible swimming pool, a gingerbread house restaurant and a golden carousel.
Elizabeth received all sorts of wonderful amenities at Disney World including breakfast with the Disney characters, park-hopper tickets, and a special pass that allowed her to advance to the front of the line for her favorite rides. She was thrilled when she finally met Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle. Her family was especially thrilled because it had been a very long time since they had seen her so happy, seemingly without a care in the world.
The effects of a wish experience last so much longer than the wish itself. The ripples of joy, strength, hope and determination follow these amazing children throughout their whole lives. We are very happy to have a hand in their future and remain most grateful to our generous donors.
Sincerely,
Judith Stone
