Thank You From Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia

Dear Car Donation Foundation,

On behalf of Make-A-Wish, I want to thank you for forwarding additional proceeds from the Wheels For Wishes Campaign. Today, we received $7,181.24 for the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter.  Your generosity enables us to make wishes come true, and when a wish comes true, it creates strength, hope, and transformation to such amazing wish kids.

Sydney is a spirited 17-year-old girl who has recently been diagnosed with a critical illness. Despite this life-changing news, she is determined to make the most of every day. After meeting with her Make-A-Wish volunteers, and being offered the chance to have her fondest dream come true, she was certain that a trip to Atlantis would be the perfect place to regroup and come up with a plan for her future.

Sydney escaped the cold Pittsburgh weather and embraced the warm sun of Atlantis. She spent her days with her family in what she describes as “the most tranquil and peaceful place in all the world.” She used her time there to find peace through a dolphin encounter as he studied these graceful sea creatures. Sydney had an unmistakable glow about her that convinced her whole family that she can truly beat this illness. With her strong resolve, we couldn’t agree more!

The memories of this wish adventure will stay with Sydney for a very long time. Sydney will experience what we wish for all of our wish kids- a joy for life that comes from having your heartfelt wish come true.
