I am delighted to accept your gift of $9,473.57. Your generosity strengthens our mission and transforms the lives of children in Northeastern California and Northern Nevada battling a life­ threatening medical condition.

When a wish is granted, it impacts the life of not only the wish child, but his or her entire family as well. Damian has an inherited blood disorder that causes little to no hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Because of this, Damian receives blood transfusion therapy every three weeks.

When given the opportunity to choose a special wish, Damian knew his most heartfelt wish was to go to Disney World. At Disney World, he envisioned meeting many characters like Mickey Mouse, Tinker Bell, and Peter Pan. He imagined sleeping in a hotel, swimming at the pool, meeting the superheroes he loves, and enjoying all of the rides, “but not the fast ones” he said. Damian was thrilled to have his wish granted and see everything he adores come to life!

“Damian had a great time. His favorite part of the wish was getting to fly on an airplane and meeting his favorite characters. He is doing really well now, it was wonderful.” -Samrane, Damian’s father.
