As we begin 2018, your donation will help provide a brighter future for wish kids battling critical illnesses, like 17-year-old Marquel.

Battling chronic kidney disease, Marquel receives dialysis several times a week and it’s easy for him to feel trapped. But one thing continues to inspire him through tough times amazing nature photography.

“I see images of all the incredible places in the world, and I’m inspired to get out there and take my own pictures,” said Marquel, who wished to learn about nature photography in Hawaii.

Marquel enjoyed taking pictures at the beach, learning camera techniques, posing and angles with professional photographers. At the end of the week, Marquel’s photos were even displayed at his own surprise art show!

“This experience helped Marquel see that anything is possible,” says his mom, Natasha.” He is going to study art in college and his wish gave him skills that will continue to benefit him in his future. But more than that, now Marquel can see his disease isn’t a hindrance, but a way to let others know that nothing should stop you from achieving your dreams.”

We thank you for Wheels For Wishes gift of $44,460.76 from January vehicle sales proceeds which we received on 2/21/2018.
