Thank You From Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia

February 21, 2018

Dear Car Donation Foundation,

On behalf of Make-A-Wish, I want to thank you for forwarding additional proceeds from the Wheels For Wishes Campaign. Today, we received $6,894.84, for the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter.

We Work tirelessly to provide our wish kids with a magical once-in-a-lifetime experience that will transport them from their everyday reality to a place where anything is possible. We could not do this without such kindness from our generous donors.

Recently, one of our wish kids, nine-year-old Jack, returned from his wish adventure to Disney World with his family. Here is some of what Jack’s father had to say about their trip:

“I only know that Jack was happy, and that made the whole family happy. The impact on our family as a feeling of rejuvenation and encouragement, helping us to gear up for the next round of treatments. The fulfillment of Jack’s wish gave us a much better outlook.

“The last year has been a drain on Jack, both emotionally and physically, due to complications of his open heart surgery. The bright light in the whole experience has been our time together, our whole family, with no worries, no doctors, no needles, and absolutely no stress. Jack’s trip to Disney World was full of laughter that we hadn’t heard in a long time- the kind of laughter that should never be missing from a child’s life. During Jack’s trip, we heard that laughter, and we will never forget it.”

Because of the generosity of our donors, we can continue to reach all children in our area living with a critical illness. These are children whose lives have been interrupted by illness and medical challenges that no young person should ever experience. But the reality is that some children do, and we are honored to be there to provide them with a little bit of magic and joy, and to forget if only for a while, that they are sick. On behalf of Jack, and all of our wish kids, thank you for believing in the power of a wish.

Sincerely,

Judith Stone
