Thank You From Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia

April 23, 2019

Dear Car Donation Foundation,

On behalf of Make-A-Wish, I want to thank you for forwarding additional proceeds from Wheels For Wishes Campaign. On April 22, 2019, we received $10,097.18, for the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter. As required by the Internal Revenue Service, we confirm that you received no goods or services in exchange for your contribution.

We remain so grateful to the Wheels For Wishes Campaign for so generously supporting our efforts to grant the wishes of children living with critical illnesses. Our amazing wish kids are the reason we do the work that we do. We strive to provide these children with a much-needed respite from their illness and offer them hope and strength along the way.

One of these children is six-year-old Eddie from Pittsburgh. Eddie wished for a furry companion and best friend- a tiny Goldendoodle puppy. The emotional and nervous anticipation of waiting for his puppy’s arrival was very apparent during the days leading up to their first meeting. Once the day finally arrived, Eddie grinned from ear to ear as he waited for the little bundle of fur to scramble into the room. The puppy headed straight for Eddie who was on his knees, arms outstretched. Eddie’s entire family knew that they were destined to be best friends. Lots of giggles from Eddie, slurpy kisses from the puppy, and tears from Eddie’s family and friends were evidence that this was a perfect match.

Eddie is still deciding on a name for his new friend. Maybe buddy, Charlie or Rusty? Or Rocky, Copper or Max? For now, though, it’s enough that Eddie calls him “my sweet little boy.” That’s okay with Eddie’s family because now, there are two sweet little boys in his family and they couldn’t be happier.

We know that these two best friends will share all kinds of fun adventures for years to come. Eddie’s family is hopeful that his new puppy will be a trained companion who will be by his side to help protect Eddie through any future seizures. The future is bright for these new playmates as they get to know and love each other with each passing day.

Sincerely,

Judith Stone
