Thank You From Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee
April 26, 2018
Dear Car Donation Foundation,
I would like to thank you for your thoughtful contribution to Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. Your gift of $2,477.45 was received on April 25, 2018 and will help make wishes come true for Middle Tennessee children who face critical illnesses.
For seriously ill children, the wonder and delight of childhood can seem lost in routines of doctors, hospitals, and pain. But we can turn that around, helping children think beyond the experience of illness by bringing their most heartfelt wish to life. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.
Since 8-year-old Devin and his family moved to Nashville last year, he’s been a Preds fan. He said his favorite thing about the team is that they work together. Devin is equally passionate about big truck and big machines. Devin is currently in the middle of a yearlong treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare pediatric cancer with an aggressive treatment plan. Make-A-Wish called on our partners at the Nashville Predators and the Nashville Predators Foundation as well as local contractors and equipment companies to combine both of Devin’s passions into one great wish. Ultimately, Devin decided he wanted to rid to a Nashville Predators game in a semi-truck.
There are few experiences more powerful than making a wish come true. Thank to your support, we are one step closer to creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Sincerely,
Beth Torres
