Thank You From Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee
April 26, 2018
Dear Car Donation Foundation,
I would like to thank you for your thoughtful contribution to Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. Your gift of $2,477.45 was received on April 25, 2018 and will help make wishes come true for Middle Tennessee children who face critical illnesses.
For seriously ill children, the wonder and delight of childhood can seem lost in routines of doctors, hospitals, and pain. But we can turn that around, helping children think beyond the experience of illness by bringing their most heartfelt wish to life. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.
At seven years old, Reagan had an 8.5-centimeter tumor inside her spinal cord. After surgery to remove the tumor, she spent weeks away from home undergoing therapy. She missed school and she and missed being with her brother and sister and friends.
When Reagan learned she was receiving a wish, she knew exactly where she wanted to go: Paris. The family says they will remember everything about the trip. From being picked up in a limo (Reagan’s first limo ride) to the whole week in Paris, every day was special and perfect. Reagan’s favorite was visiting the Eiffel Tower. It’s been her dream to go to Paris since she was a little girl.
There are few experiences more powerful than making a wish come true. Thank to your support, we are one step closer to creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Sincerely,
Beth Torres
