Thank You From Make-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada

Dear Car Donation Foundation,

I am delighted to accept your gift of $16,231.04. Your generosity strengthens our mission and transforms the lives of children in Northeastern California and Northern Nevada battling a life-threatening medical condition.

It has been proven that upon learning they are eligible for a wish, children like Hayden show improvements in energy level and adherence to treatment plans. Hayden was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March 2014. During his initial chemotherapy treatments at the hospital, Hayden watched his favorite movie Cars, which he played over and over again to help him feel better. His love for cars does not stop there; Hayden’s favorite activity is playing with his toy cars, dump trucks, and Legos. Even though Hayden has endured a tremendous battle with leukemia, he still finds time to play and continues to be an active and happy four-year-old boy.

When Hayden had the opportunity to choose a special wish, he knew his one true wish was to go to LEGOLAND. Hayden loves Legos, and he could not wait to see a place made entirely of his favorite toy! Hayden had the chance to see his favorite cars made of Legos, including fire trucks and police cars, as well as experience tons of fun-filled rides and attractions.
